US Navy F9F-3, Panther - Trumpeter 02834

Trumpeter 02834 US Navy F9F-3, Panther - Trumpeter 02834 The F9F Panther was the first Grumman carrier-borne Navy jet fighter to see combat, and also the first jet used by the famous Blue Angels. Having entered service in 1949, upwards of 1,382 F9Fs were manufactured, and VF 781 "Pacemakers" was the first squadron to use them. The Panther retired in 1956. This model authentically recreates the F9F-3, a modified version equipped with permanently mounted wingtip fuel tanks. The fully assembled model is 24cm long and has a wingspan of 24.2cm.
